What will you do

The individual will use his/her knowledge of design development information security and IT architecture best practices to ensure delivery of robust applications that follow architectural processes and direction. The role will work closely with onshore North American IT teams using a mix of agile and iterative development methodologies delivering Java design and development.

Key responsibilities:

• Proficient in designing complex solutions for business problems using emerging tech stack integrating with legacy & modern infra todevelop scalable and reliable solutions.

• Effectively utilize influence and lead multiple software development and deployment methodologies development best practices and DevOps/DevSecOps principles

• Person should be able to design complex solutions on at-least 2 technologies and provide end to end solution for one area

• Lead & own code reviews and can sign off on medium/large features my Squad/ Project/ POD.

• Demonstrate strong ownership of the vision/roadmap ensuring project alignment.

• Key participant in providing estimates and identifying key stakeholders

• Working as a lead and able to migrate applications end to end. Needs to be a hands-on developer.

• Working with the team to guide them understand any technical issues and troubleshoot them.

• Doing regular code reviews and sharing feedback with the team.

• Having connects with onshore partners for design discussions architectural discussions etc.

• Strong focus on continuous improvement (CI) and innovation. Someone who will be a role model for the team to focus on Cis.

Key Experience:

• 8 years of information technology experience with full application development life cycle and systems integration experience

• Ability to understand existing (large) codebase written in AWS Serverless Ant Maven Gradle JSP J2EE EJB Spring Hibernate etc. and identifying all dependencies.

• Should have knowledge of application deployment and Software development life cycle.

• 7 years of experience in development in J2EE framework.

• 2 years of experience in development in AWS Serverless (Lambda SQS SNS)

• Should have experience leading small teams (4-6 developers).

• Experience of migrating legacy applications to latest technologies; on-premises infrastructure to cloud such as AWS GCP.

• Experience coaching mentoring and delegating tasks to a team of talented software engineers.

• Should be motivated to devote time to spreading knowledge widely via talks blog posts or written documentation

Technical Credentials:

• Java 8 (or higher) /J2EE

• AWS Serverless (Lambda SQS SNS)

• Integration Services -Spring: Spring Boot JWT Authorization API Gateway Spring Framework 4.x (or higher) Spring JMS (Java Messaging Services) Spring MVC (model-view-controller) Swagger

• Backend Data Integration:

• Java Batches / Spring BatchesEJB/Hibernate/JPA Spring MVC Spring-Data

• Mainframe experience is good to have.

• WebServer:Hands on experience

• WAS WebSphere Liberty Cloud Server

• Data: SQL/Oracle

• UI Skills: JSP React Bootstrap java script jQuery AJAX HTML CSS React/Angular/GWT

• Exposure to cloud is preferred with Docker/Kubernetes/RedHat OpenShift

• Professional certification in cloud such AWS/GCP is a definite plus.
