Job Description
Location: Temple TX 76508
Shift: Variable 10-hr Shift
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform high-quality radiology procedures according to protocol ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain quality and production standards following established guidelines.
- Understand and monitor radiation dose reference levels document appropriately and take required follow-up actions if levels are exceeded.
- Use AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You) techniques to communicate effectively with patients verify exam details and establish rapport.
- Instruct patients and their families about procedures and assess patient tolerance.
- Prepare patients and the procedure area including correct positioning equipment adjustment and use of protective devices.
- Follow safety infection control drug and radiation protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Apply sterile techniques during invasive procedures and maintain proper hand hygiene.
- Maintain equipment and work areas to meet cleanliness and operational standards and report any malfunctions to management.
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
- Screen individuals entering the department according to safety policies.
- Obtain verify and document all relevant patient information including requisitions history consent forms and shielding precautions.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical imaging records in accordance with department policies.
- Ability to perform high-quality exams independently and efficiently
- Skill in explaining procedures and calming patients
- Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
- Ability to work calmly under stress and resolve problems appropriately
- Competency in first aid and emergency response
- Demonstrates current knowledge and skills to care for patients across the lifespan (newborn to geriatric)
- ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)
