Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate administrative tasks and support hospital operations.
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling without conflicts.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
- Handle phone inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
- Maintain organized patient records and documentation.
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing.
- Prepare and process medical reports and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Support hospital staff with administrative needs.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the hospital.
- Organize meetings and take minutes as needed.
- Implement filing systems for efficient information retrieval.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new staff members.
- Conduct regular audits of administrative procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative role preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various responsibilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and healthcare protocols.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Exceptional customer service skills to handle patient interactions.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associated degree in healthcare administration preferred.
- Able to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of hospital software systems is a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site and support hospital operations.
