Role Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement advanced time series forecasting models.
- Analyze datasets to understand trends seasonality and other time-related patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop algorithms that improve accuracy and performance of prediction models.
- Monitor model performance and implement adjustments as needed.
- Utilize statistical methods to generate insights and support decision-making.
- Conduct experiments and A/B testing to validate model effectiveness.
- Clean preprocess and transform raw data into usable formats.
- Create data visualizations to communicate model results to stakeholders.
- Document methodologies assumptions and model findings for future reference.
- Research and stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and time series analysis.
- Work with Big Data technologies to handle large datasets efficiently.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and team members.
- Collaborate in an agile environment to ensure timely project delivery.
- Assist in the creation of internal tools to automate workflows and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in machine learning and time series analysis.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Proficient in statistical modeling and algorithm development.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow Keras or scikit-learn.
- Experience with data manipulation and preprocessing using tools like Pandas and Numpy.
- Understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark or similar frameworks.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau Power BI or Matplotlib.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Google Cloud or Azure.
- Experience with database querying languages such as SQL.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
