Important : Only Poland Citizen and Existing Poland Residence ( Visa Holders) and Dependent to Visa Holders
Employment Type: Multi year contract - Permanent contract will be offered based on the performance
On behalf of our client. we are seeking a skilled FinOps Analyst to support cloud financial management activities ensuring cost transparency optimization and collaboration across technical and finance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS cost management expertise including hands-on experience with Athena queries on AWS Cost and Usage Reports (CUR) and a solid understanding of FinOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify elements of total cost and measures of utilization in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation in FinOps processes to improve efficiency.
- Improve tagging standards and ensure consistent application across cloud environments.
- Monitor analyze and report on costs and utilization across products cloud providers and organizational levels (teams customers etc.).
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud expenditures and utilization.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Analyze variances between actual spend and budgeted amounts offering insights and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to ensure accurate financial planning and forecasting.
- Work closely with engineering teams to automate cost management and reporting workflows.
- Continuously explore and evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance FinOps capabilities.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience in FinOps cloud financial management or a similar role.
- Proven experience implementing FinOps functions and processes.
- Hands-on experience writing Athena queries (SQL-like) against AWS Cost and Usage Report (CUR) tables.
- Proven experience implementing and enforcing tagging standards in cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and cost management tools including:
- AWS Cost Explorer
- AWS CUR 2.0
- Athena queries
- Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and perform anomaly detection.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and metrics.
- Proficiency in financial modeling budgeting and forecasting.
Desirable / Bonus Skills:
- Ability to write Terraform code for managing or enforcing tagging.
- AWS certifications and/or FinOps certifications are highly preferred.
Certifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner etc.) Preferred
- FinOps certifications (e.g. FinOps Certified Practitioner) Preferred
