Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lathe Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up operating and maintaining various types of lathe machines (manual CNC or both specify if needed) to produce high-quality precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles blueprint reading and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up manual/CNC lathe machines including tooling work-holding and part alignment per engineering specifications.
- Interpret blueprints and use precision instruments (micrometers calipers gauges) for in-process and final part inspections.
- Monitor machining operations troubleshoot deviations perform tool offsets and ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Conduct part finishing (deburring chamfering) routine machine maintenance and report malfunctions or tooling issues.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and complete accurate production and quality documentation.
Requirements
- 1 years of hands-on experience operating lathe machines in a manufacturing setup with familiarity in working on various materials like steel aluminum and plastics.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints engineering drawings and GD&T for accurate part production.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers calipers gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude basic math proficiency (fractions decimals geometry) and effective troubleshooting skills.
- Safety-conscious detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
