Job Description
3 months contract with local authority
- Providing expert advice support and training on health and safety matters
- Assisting the Head of Health & Safety in developing an annual work plan aligned with Council needs and statutory requirements
- Generating income for PCC in accordance with service level agreements
- Keeping the Council informed of new legislation and guidance and investigating health and safety incidents
- Delivering interventions to mitigate risks to employees and others health and safety
- Contributing to the Health & Safety business plan through collaboration and effective communication
- Working with Council colleagues to communicate transformation and improvement activities and fostering collaborative working
- Advocating for customer excellence through feedback and driving continuous improvement
- Planning and directing workforce development and practice improvement in social care
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and guidance related to Adult Social Care and Health
- Promoting and implementing the councils Equality Policy in employment and service delivery
- Supporting elected members through the provision of high-quality financial and technical support
Requirements
- Proven experience in health and safety management
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement
- Understanding of adult social care and health practices
- Commitment to equality and diversity in employment and service delivery
Requirements: Proven experience in conducting tree surveys Certification as an arborist In-depth knowledge of arboriculture practices and standards
