Job Description
International English speaking family based primarily in the Pyrenees (France) is looking for a warm fun and nature loving nanny to join their family in France. A nanny who aligns with RIE and Forest school approach is likely to be a good match. This is a kind and open family who values gentle parenting and a natural - nature based- lifestyle learning and approach to life.
MUST HOLD A EU PASSPORT.
Caring for boys 4 7 and 10 Starting anytime from now til mid September.
40 hours a week over 5 days with some flexibility
Live-in with separate accommodation or Live-out.
Shared care and sole charge
Looking for a fun gentle playful engaging nanny-educator/governess who is open minded adventurous committed to growing and learning enthusiastic creative and resourceful.
Someone who is grounded respectful and able to read the children s cues.
Someone who is strict on teaching manners and etiquette would not be a good long term match.
The family homeschools in a very child-led capacity and currently has a Governor who you would be working closely with.
The position would suit someone who loves nature and who is flexible yet intentional and organized and cares deeply about the growth and development of little ones.
The family are health conscious and alternative-minded they have a gentle and playful approach to parenting and are very involved in their children s daily lives.
Both parents work from home and are ideally looking for a long-term nanny and/or governess who can embark on this journey in life with them making strong connections along the way.
The candidate must be warm compassionate and eager to help.
Driving is required to help transport the children.
Swimming is essential as the home has a pool.
Act as a team player assisting the parents to kindly guide the children assisting with an educational focus and supporting their interests and development.
Duties: Leading daily educational sessions in core skills
Being attuned to the childrens needs and intentional about their growth and development Creating engaging child-centered activities
Supporting the children with their interests educational goals and desires and curiosity about the world around them
Lots of outdoor activities and connecting with nature making art and crafts doing projects and following the childrens lead
Nanny should plan age appropriate activities and always have a plan of what the arrange and what the children are likely to gain from the activity (fun educational in some way aiding their development etc)
Preparing snacks for the children (grain and sugar free diet) taking them to activities packing the appropriate items for various activities keeping the childrens spaces tidy and organized and managing day to day schedule and logistics
English fluency is essential for the role. The nanny will do a lot of reading with the children and needs to be confident in using complex English language and be fully understood by the children - therefore strong accents will not work for them.
Drivers license is also required.
Willingness to travel (the family travels quite regularly and the routine / set up continues wherever they are.
This is a strictly non smoking and non-vaping position
Salary: Flexible for the right person.
Up to date, enhanced criminal background check will be required prior to starting the job. Up to date paediatric first aid required

This is a multi-staffed home with a chef cleaner and governor but with a very different outlook and approach to the usual multi-staffed households
Requirements
Completely fluent English
Valid full EU passport
Experience with boys
prefer experience with Forest School Rie gentle parenting
Up to date criminal history check
Good references for recent and relevant nanny work and jobs that have each lasted a good length of time 2years
Able to run after young children
Be available long term
Enjoys healthy living
Up to date paediatric first aid
Must be tidy and clean and happy to keep home environment tidy and clean
Please note this is a strictly Non smoking position.
