Job Description

This is a remote position.

We re hiring an Associate Attorney on behalf of our client for a remote opportunity based in Northern Virginia (Fairfax County area). This role involves managing legal matters from case initiation through post-judgment remedies offering an excellent opportunity to gain litigation experience in a fast-paced high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft well-reasoned written arguments and communications

  • Handle a high-volume caseload with precision and efficiency

  • Provide legal analysis and counsel regarding risks and outcomes in civil litigation and collections

  • Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve cases effectively

  • Travel as needed to courts across Virginia to represent clients in hearings and proceedings

  • Report outcomes and activity regularly to the Managing Attorney



Requirements

  • Experience: 0 3 years of experience in bankruptcy collections or civil litigation with exposure to court proceedings and legal regulations
  • Education: J.D. from an accredited law school
  • License: Active license to practice law in Virginia
  • Licensure in any of the following states is a plus: GA SC TN FL MD MI OH or UBE

  • Strong ability to analyze case law and provide informed legal recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills


0-3 years experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings and associated regulations. J.D. from accredited law school with active license to practice law in VA. A license to practice law in other states in our footprint (GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) or UBE passage is a plus but not mandatory. Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Exemplary oral and written communication skills. Outstanding Time Management skills

Education

J.D. from accredited law school with active license to practice law in VA.
