Profile Requirements:
- Proven work experience (3 years preferred) as a Graphic Designer
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work particularly within hospitality.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop Illustrator InDesign.
- Experience with other design tools like Canva for quick turnaround assets.
- Understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices for social media email and web design.
- Knowledge of print production processes and preparing files for commercial printing.
- Strong understanding of branding typography colour theory and layout principles.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to articulate design choices.
- Highly organised detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience within the hospitality industry (e.g. restaurants hotels event venues)
- Proven experience in professional menu design and layout.
- Experience in website content management (CMS) particularly with visual asset integration and basic updates.
- Experience in photography and/or video production/editing.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design Visual Arts Digital Media or a related field.
Core responsibilities:
- Creative Concept & Design:
- Develop and execute compelling visual concepts and designs for a diverse range of marketing and promotional materials for all CHG venues (restaurants accommodation event spaces).
- Design digital assets including social media graphics website banners email templates and online advertisements.
- Create print materials such as menus flyers posters brochures promotional signage and event collateral.
- Design branded merchandise uniforms and internal communication materials as required.
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure all visual communications strictly adhere to Central Hospitality Groups brand guidelines maintaining consistency across all venues and platforms.
- Help refine and evolve existing brand guidelines as the group grows.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Work closely with the Digital Content Manager venue managers chefs and event coordinators to understand design briefs and bring ideas to life.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are consistently high.
- Present design concepts effectively and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Photography & Videography (Desirable):
- Capture high-quality photography and short-form video content of our venues food beverages events and atmosphere for marketing use (desirable not essential but a strong advantage).
- Edit and retouch photos/videos to meet brand standards.
- Print & Digital Production:
- Prepare design files for both print and digital output ensuring technical specifications are met.
- Liaise with external printers and suppliers to ensure high-quality production.
