We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to play an integral role in a committed multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Focus on evaluating the services provided to patients or residents through conducting studies.
- The Centre requires a strict commitment to maintaining confidentiality for all patient/resident matters staff information and business affairs.
- Maintain the Centres compliance with statutory regulations and guidelines always.
- Support in implementing practice innovations within the facility and assess their efficiency.
- Analyze the psychological needs of the existing patient population and formulate recommendations for addressing these needs.
Requirements
- A third-level degree or diploma that has been approved by the Psychological Society of Ireland (QQ1 level 8 equivalent).
- A similar degree approved by the Department of Health or a recognized postgraduate professional degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Postgraduate experience in professional psychology for a minimum of five years.
- Candidates must show that they have obtained knowledge in relevant medical contexts such as Adult Mental Health/Psychiatry of Later Life.
- Experience working in adult mental health and later-life psychiatry after obtaining a degree.
- Experience working in a framework or environment related to mental health rehabilitation.
- Instruction in cognitive-behavioral therapy which includes psychosis CBT.
- Proficiency in at least one other therapeutic approach such as dialectical behavior therapy family therapy emotion-focused therapy compassion-focused therapy schema therapy or psychodynamic psychotherapy.
- Clinical supervision training and experience are required.
- Possess a solid understanding of health safety and other legal requirements that impact a healthcare organization.
- Exhibit strong "people management" expertise and abilities.
