Job Title: Physician Infectious Disease

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Flagstaff AZ

Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: 09/01/2025 12/01/2025

Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00a 5:00p (1-hour lunch)

Patient Demographics: Adults (Average age 59)

Patient Volume/Census: Varies based on inpatient census

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Included

Phone Consults: Yes

Case Mix: General Infectious Disease OPAT follow-up

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: 268

EMR System: Cerner

Office Equipment Available: TBD

Specialty Backup Available: 2 employed ID physicians (in-house 4 days/week)

Support Staff Available: Inpatient nurses OPAT MA

Reason for Coverage: Monthly coverage needed (1 week/month)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 30 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: AZ or IMLC license required

Certifications: Board Certification in Infectious Disease; DEA Required

Experience: Not Specified

Other Qualifications: Proficient in inpatient ID management

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations and management

Collaborate with employed ID physicians and nursing staff

Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care

Perform fecal transplants as required

Maintain compliance with hospital vaccine requirements
