Job Description

We welcome you to apply to be a substitute teacher at Ivy Academy! As a public charter school we get to enjoy smaller class sizes with a focus on scholarship environmental stewardship volunteerism & student health.

*NOTE: Being an HCDE sub doesnt
automatically enroll you as an Ivy substitute.


  • You will be expected to be present on the days you sub from 7:45am-2:45pm.
  • Pay is $90/day with a high school diploma $100/day with a college degree or $115 as a certified teacher.
  • You receive a $100 bonus for working 10 days/$150 bonus for working 15 days in a pay-period (monthly).

Please Note: We are required by TN Law to run a full background check. Your fingerprints will be submitted to TBI and FBI. Please make sure to indicate if you have ever been convicted pled guilty or pled nolo contendere to a criminal offense. The disclosure of a conviction does not automatically preclude you from employment with Ivy Academy. However falsification of your application may result in an offer of employment being withdrawn and/or preclude you from employment.
