Job Description

Whether youre experienced in the Education or childcare sector or this is the first time youre thinking about working with children THIS is the role for you!

This service is every Coordinators dream! An existing service with an average afternoon attendance of 20 children youll have your own dedicated OSHC room   NO pack up/down! With regular children in attendance and a great school relationship this is a service you can come in to and easily grow and make your own.  This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 34 hours per week including 4 non-contact administration hours. You will work across our Before School Care (Rise then Shine Program) and After School Care (Stay and Play Program) shifts: 

  • Before School Care (Rise then Shine Program): 6:30am - 8:45am Monday to Friday 
  • After School Care (Stay and Play Program): 2:15pm - 6:00pm Monday to Friday 

About the role

Leading a team of Educators you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. Youll have the support of a state specific office plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM sport cooking art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
  • Foster healthy relationships with children the school community and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite including roster management
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Who are we looking for

We can teach you about the job and sector but a few basics you need to have:

  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Strong and clear communication
  • Team player with a desire to become a service leader
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (well pay for it!) and a state check for working with children
  • Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
  • Australian work rights
