As a key member of the Planning & Development Services Department the Planner I will review and analyze current planning proposals to provide recommendations; to advise developers property owners and the public through the development process; prepare technical reports and carry out other work as assigned.

Our Type:Our next Planner I understands tactful and courteous communication with members of the public. We are looking for a candidate that can work independently and in a team with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role as are high levels of accuracy timeliness and dependability. We are looking for someone who can provide exceptional customer service for a variety of coworkers supervisors and the public with professionalism and patience.
If you can do those things meet the expectations of duties listed in the included job description and meet the following requirements we would be happy to speak with you:
- Bachelors Degree in Geography Urban/Regional/Community Planning Public Administration Urban Studies/Affairs Architecture Business Administration or related field;
- AND at least one (1) year of increasingly responsible experience in long-range planning and/or development services with a municipality;
- OR any combination of education and experience that results in the applicable skills knowledge and abilities is required;
- A valid Texas Class C Drivers License.
Compensation: Non-exempt FLSA status salary range is $51591.17 - $77386.75 (DOE); equivalates to $24.80/hr - $37.21/hr.
