Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Data Scientist/Programmer for our Atlanta GA office to assist Engineers Scientists and Project Managers with tasks associated with transportation infrastructure project work. This position will support multiple clients and project teams. The candidate will have demonstrated experience in information management databases scripting and automation. It is preferred candidates have experience with the ESRI suite of tools and technologies. Experience performing field work is also a plus.
This role will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change urbanization and digitization trends are requiring todays mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the worlds growing population. We design connected sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:
The Data Scientist/Programmer must be a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills the ability to work independently to develop innovative solutions using relevant technologies and a strong aptitude for collaborating within teams composed of professionals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with project teams to reimagine the way they work
- Develop and maintain web-based solutions
- Develop and implement automation for processes
- Develop and manage online GIS services to support project teams
- Appropriately represent themselves a team and the company in front of clients
- Develop best practices in project information management for various project teams
- Working on multiple projects concurrently
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree preferably STEM related
- 4 Years of experience
- Solid foundational knowledge of SQL
- Strong experience with at least two of the following technologies: Python Git JavaScript/Typescript PowerShell .NET Core
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous consulting experience
- Strong technical GIS skills
- Experience with the Office 365 suite of tools
- Experience with ArcGIS Online
- Experience with AI

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
