To provide supervision guidance support and limited administration to a group of HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanics in the performance of their journeyman level job assignments. This position is at a penal institution.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience or training in the installation and/or maintenance of heating ventilating or air conditioning systems.

Job Duties and Other Information
Oversees the installation repair alteration maintenance and control of refrigeration heating ventilating and cooling systems.
Oversees the installation diagnosis repair and adjustment on all control meter instruments involved in large areas or equipment heating and cooling.
Recommends changes in heating cooling and general refrigeration equipment and its usage.
Prepares cost estimates of jobs according to labor and material requirements.

OF LOUISIANA STATE GOVERNMENT (State Employee)
This position may be filled as:
- DETAIL: The selected employee may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
- PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if selected.
- TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
