The Production Manager - OTR is entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing and coordinating daily plant operations encompassing production pre-production and operational activities. This role demands the establishment and maintenance of a safe legally compliant workplace and the rigorous enforcement of all corporate policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures designed to optimize productivity ensure stringent quality standards and effectively mitigate production challenges.
- Provide authoritative leadership and management for assigned operational areas including tire building and curing processes with a focus on excellence and precision.
- Initiate and oversee strategic initiatives systems and processes aimed at continuous improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) particularly in terms of operational reliability.
- Conduct meticulous monitoring of overtime utilization implementing measures to maintain it at an acceptable level in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols regulatory requirements and industry best practices throughout the production environment.
- Foster a culture of accountability and high performance among team members setting clear expectations and providing decisive guidance.
- Conduct regular in-depth analyses of production metrics and implement data-driven strategies for operational enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address complex operational challenges and drive organizational success.
- Maintain vigilant oversight of resource allocation ensuring optimal utilization of personnel equipment and materials.
- Proactively identify potential risks to production goals and develop robust contingency plans to mitigate their impact.
- Achieve the cost center budget for supplies and overtime with utmost precision.
- Rigorously drive and inculcate the Quality 1st Mindset and Continental Business System (CBS) roll out for Production area.
Qualifications :
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of ten years experience in manufacturing or a closely related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving results in a high-volume manufacturing environment driving productivity and maintaining quality standards.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving and people management coupled with a positive attitude and sound decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to plan develop and implement process improvements for specific tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing methodology is essential.
- Working experience in multicultural company is an advantage.
