Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join the lighting design department as a lighting design apprentice. The team are responsible for producing schematical lighting design calculations and visualisations for external environments.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Produce Exterior lighting calculations for a variety of environments such as Car Parks Residential roads Architectural buildings and bridges Campus and Rail stations.
- Understand clients briefs and technical performance criteria
- Communication with the Local Sales Managers to work with them to create suitable solutions that achieve the clients brief within the budget constraints.
- Attend site visits and customer meetings when appropriate
- Ensure the CRM database is updated with process information on the projects and include any design changes
- Working closely with the Projects team and Engineering team
- Attending relevant industry events and trainings
Required knowledge skills and abilities

Qualifications :
- Experienced using Microsoft Office Packages (Excel PowerPoint word etc)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 2D CAD software
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D software is beneficial but not essential
- Satisfactory GCSE (English and Maths included)
- Looking to do an Engineering based Apprenticeship such as Engineering Design Technician (ST0164)
- Aged 16
