Senior IT Specialist (Data Engineer)
Advance your career as a Senior IT this role you will apply your expertise in Data Warehousing and Reporting to help move the team forward and deliver business value. Youll work with industry-standard tools such as Tableau Power BI and Oracle gaining opportunities to build out the reporting landscape take on governance and compliance responsibilities and work alongside high-performing colleagues.
What youll do
- Document current and future state data landscapes with an emphasis on technology consolidation automation and repeatability.
- Analize datasets to identify trends anomalies and opportunities for business improvement.
- Create clear visualizations and reports to support decision-making.
- Investigate enterprise data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and translate business needs into actionable insights.
- Take responsibility for data quality and validation within reports ensuring accuracy consistency and reliability.
- Manage client relationships with respect to reporting and analytics. Provide recommendations and contribute to best practices for data visualization and reporting standards.
- Lead the development of dashboards and self-service reporting solutions that enable stakeholders to access insights independently
- Design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions leveraging Tableau Power BI and Oracle within a Data Warehouse environment
What you bring to our team
- University degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
- 6 years of professional experience in data engineering reporting or business intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and architectures.
- Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Solid experience with relational databases and Oracle (SQL expertise required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery including requirements gathering solution design implementation and final delivery.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information systems application programming database and system design.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated application of the systems approach to problem-solving.
