The Facility Services Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness sanitation and tidiness of the facility. This includes cleaning floors restrooms workspaces and common areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees visitors and clients.
What will your job involve
- Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep mop vacuum and buff floors in offices hallways lobbies and restrooms.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms including toilets sinks mirrors and dispensers.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace windows glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools.
- Dust and wipe surfaces such as desks countertops and furniture.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and break areas (e.g. soap paper towels toilet paper).
- Report maintenance issues (e.g. leaks broken fixtures) to supervisor promptly.
- Follow all safety and health regulations including the proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Secure cleaning equipment and supplies at the end of each shift.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled (e.g. carpet shampooing floor waxing).
What are we looking for
- Someone with a can-do attitude... experience in janitorial or cleaning services is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work the shift 5:00am - 2:30pm Mon-Fri
