Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Director CODA and USDE Recognition Compliance is responsible for providing leadership and strategic vision to the accreditation agency developing and maintaining the Commission as the authority on dental accreditation in the U.S. and internationally. Key responsibilities include operational and fiscal oversight of the agency managing regulatory compliance with the U.S. Department of Education and overseeing risk management activities.
The Senior Director also develops and implements policies and procedures for the accreditation program ensuring their consistent application. across more than 1400 accredited dental and dental-related education programs. Serving as an ex-officio member of the Commission the Director supports the work of the Board of Commissioners and its committees direct the management of the accreditation program for over 1400 accredited dental and dental-related education programs while fostering communication and collaboration with CODAs broad community of interest. Additionally the Senior Director is responsible for recruiting developing and leading Commission staff to advance the organizations mission.
As CODAs designated Security Official the Senior Director is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Privacy and Breach Notification Rules. This includes responding to inquiries requests and complaints related to HIPAA compliance.
