Summary: This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented high-energy team of
professionals who are making a difference for people all across the state who are struggling with
substance use disorder. The Regional Donor Relations Manager an early-career Development
opportunity will manage relationships with donors in the Rochester area and will require 2 days in Minneapolis 2 days in Rochester and 1 remote.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Donor Relations:
Manage and build relationships with a large portfolio of individuals churches and
businesses to discover their capacity discuss their philanthropic goals and cultivate
relationships that will lead to major gifts. Most of this position will be done internally
through letters phone email etc. This is an early-career Development position.
As part of the entire team work to meet the annual budget so that we can save lives!
Create opportunities to ensure maximum donor participation in relevant MnTC events.
Secure gifts for fundraising goals and capital campaigns.
Targeted Donor Cultivation
Creatively develop strategies events and opportunities for introducing and attaining new
donors to MnTC.
Work with the Development team to identify develop and manage strategies and events
for retaining current mid-level donors.
Conduct ongoing evaluation of mid-level giving analyzing trends throughout the year
and recommending changes to strategy.
Develop relationships to a point where an effective ask can be made for higher giving
and capital projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

The Regional Donor Relations Manager is a highly relational passionate and knowledgeable
fundraiser for MnTC. He or she is a spokesperson and evangelist for the organization to
individuals families businesses and the greater community.
Boldness to build relationships without call-reluctance.
A strong desire for helping and healing people with addictions.
Drive to do more than required and pitch in where needed.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelors degree
1-5 years of Development or Professional (sales marketing business etc.) experience
Experience working with high net worth individuals
Excellent relationship building skills
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Project management experience
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint); Raisers Edge experience is a plus!
Compensation: $65000 to $70000 range DOQ
