Were looking for an experienced Lead UX Designer to drive user experience strategy lead and mentor a small team of designers and help shape product direction with a strong AI-first mindset. This role is ideal for a proactive communicator and creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-impact user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership:
Guide Product Designers to develop visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces across web and mobile platforms.
Drive the implementation and maintain design system components ensuring visual and functional consistency throughout the application.
Answering Design-Oriented Questions:
Provide support to fellow front-end and iOS developers by answering design-oriented questions.
Share insights and guidance on design principles best practices and UI/UX considerations.
Testing and Validation:
Conduct comprehensive testing of the UI to identify and rectify bugs issues and deviations from our design standards.
Implement a visual validation process to certify that a project is completed in adherence to the established design standards ensuring a consistent and polished user experience.
Communication and Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product engineering and design to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
Communicate progress challenges and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for design specifications and requirements to facilitate a smooth design handoff process. Detailing UI architecture guidelines interactions and key elements to ensure effective knowledge transfer and helps maintain clarity throughout the development lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze user behaviour metrics and feedback to iteratively improve designs
Collaborate closely with cross-regional teams to prioritize and implement design refinements ensuring iterative improvements are aligned with user needs and business goals.
Qualifications :
Preferred Skils and Experience:
University degree or equivalent from a related field
5 - 8 years of experience in UI/UX design with a proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing design team
Proficiency in design tools including Figma and industry-standard UX research and prototyping tools
Strong understanding of usability principles user-centered design practices and accessibility standards.
A well-rounded generalist mindset with the ability to work across design disciplines
Passion for emerging technologies with a strong drive to innovate and push design boundaries.
Ability to champion an AI-first mindset and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Eagerness to get out and learn from users customers and stakeholders
Strong communication skills capable of clearly articulating design decisions and processes to stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive team player and Willingness to work collaboratively with a cross-functional teams
Experience designing for best-of-breed or enterprise-grade business applications will be a plus.
