ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeing a Director of Social Video Strategy YouTube and TikTok to take our brand to the next level through culture-forward content platform-first storytelling and a laser focus on audience growth and engagement with a specific focus on YouTube and TikTok and with cross pollination on Instagram Reels and Facebook. Youll lead the vision for how we create meaningful high impact social video experiences that drive channel discovery fan obsessions and sustained performance across our social channel video platforms and drive business impact to support business priority areas. Collaborating cross-functionally youll also serve as the go-to social video expert collaborating with creative and other marketing partners and ensuring high-quality brand-aligned content. This role isnt just about making great content. Its about owning the full funnel of success and turning casual scrollers into loyal brand advocates. If youre a driven innovative content creator with a proven track record of growing audiences and engagement on social video platforms this could be the perfect role for you. Youre a natural storyteller with an innate understanding of how to produce thumb-stopping social content that resonates with diverse communities. Your strong creative vision and collaborative open minded spirit will enable you to inspire your team and partner effectively with stakeholders across the business. You are a digital creative strategist whos obsessed with audience behavior creator ecosystems and content formats that perform. Youve run channels with 6-7 figure followings or built them from scratch- and know what it takes to get traction. You understand the mechanics of virality the levers that drive true engagement (not just views) and how to turn data into creative action. Bonus if you have led creator campaigns (or are a creator yourself) that has delivered results. You are comfortable and professional in navigating ambiguity building consensus and in leading teams toward bold creative strategies.
As a Director Social Video Strategy YouTube and TikTok you will...
- Develop and execute a dynamic insights-driven social video strategy to grow Audibles audience and engagement on YouTube and TikTok with a clear mandate to grow new audiences and deliver standout engagement across brand creator and franchise content
- Architect and implement a high-performing editorial calendar that balances experimental formats with consistent sticky programming that keeps fans coming back to our channels
- Define and deliver platform-native content that drives subscriber growth view velocity watch time and engagement benchmarks
- Develop a concept produce and oversee the end-to-end production of high-performing social video content short-form and long-form from ideation to post-production with an emphasis on discoverability fandom and brand love
- Identify and activate cultural moments creator collaborations and viral opportunities that expand our reach and audience
- Analyze video performance and platform trends deeply and frequently to optimize future content performance and drive business impact and with clear KPis around growth engagement and retention
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing creative brand and other cross functional teams to align social video efforts with broader business objectives
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media and video content trends and proactively identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Audibles approach

- Bachelors degree in marketing communications digital media or relevant field
- 7 years of experience in social media marketing content creation or digital strategy on YouTube and TikTok at scale for a brand media company or creator-led organization
- Experience growing audiences and increasing engagement across social video platforms
- Experience leading end-to-end content creation workflows and video production including experience managing video shoots and post-production
- MBA
- Superior communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and experience in influencing without authority
- Ability to lead calmly and be accountable through ambiguity feedback and change- balancing creative vision with ongoing organizational needs
- Creator mindset or hands-on creative experience (eg. directing editing scripting on camera work producing) with a strong understanding of how platform-native content is made and distributed
- Deep fluency in internet and platform culture fan ecosystems and emerging content format- with an ability to anticipate trends before they peak. Demonstrated success in driving business impact through social video initiatives
- Known for sound judgment grounded decision making and a track record of thriving in high performance and fast moving environments
- Experience developing global strategies of scaling social content across markets and teams
- Expertise with video editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) and data analytics tools
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest social media and digital content trends
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
