Position Summary:

As a Business Development Manager II you are expected to drive advanced business growth initiatives and foster strategic client relationships. This role focuses on managing high-volume lead generation and client acquisition processes in the US Mid-Market food drug mass merchant and department and specialty retailer space. By collaborating with sales and marketing you will refine strategies to secure new business and expand our market presence. This senior role is ideal for seasoned professionals with significant experience in business development and leadership within the SaaS sector.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement advanced lead generation strategies for high-value clients.
  • Manage relationships with strategic prospect accounts and improve client engagement processes.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to enhance customer acquisition.
  • Use data insights to inform strategic business decisions and opportunities.
  • Collaborate and mentor a support team to meet and exceed business development goals.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or sales.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving business growth.
  • Expert negotiation and communication skills and experience managing multiple accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the SaaS and technology industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of retail solutions and industry needs.
  • Ability to develop and execute innovative growth strategies.
  • Strong proficiency in using data analytics to guide strategy.
  • Track record of exceeding performance and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful cross-functional initiatives.

Experience:

  • 7 years selling experience

Skills:

  • Effective Communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders written and oral.
  • Time management and planning. The ability to manage multiple demands of time energy and resources and to align on a documented plan with a prospect is key to accelerating win outcomes.
  • Consultative approach and ability to sell through adversity.
  • Challenger Analytical Persuasive
  • Exceptional at relationship management.
