The Data Management Specialist (DMS)is responsible for the data management activities in the design administration data collection and lock of the database for trials conducted as Investigator Initiation Trials. As part of the Research Team the DMS will play a key role with the Research Team and interface with external vendors to fulfill the responsibilities of data management.
Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the management of electronic database capture system(s) for clinical trials and act as liaison between vendor(s) and internal teams including investigators biostatisticians laboratory clinical teams.
Responsible for building and ongoing maintenance of databases in conjunction with management.
Works with the team to identify data elements to be collected.
Generates reports from the database as needed.
Ensures data quality.
Ensure data system compliance for ICH GCP and regulatory authorities.
Develop standard operating procedures.
Develop the study database according to clinical trial specifications including: eCRF design user requirements edit check specifications user acceptance testing (UAT) medical coding query management data validation programming and testing data imports/exports.

Experience
2 years clinical research/data management experience.
Education
Bachelors Degree required.
Bachelors degree in a health care or other scientific discipline and/or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Strong knowledge of Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
