Your role
You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Data Analytics and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function you will help our business units to identify and develop strategic data-driven use case opportunities.
As a Cloud Solution Architect at ZEISS Digital Partners you will be part of the Data Enablement team driving the strategic and technical design of cloud-based solutions by also utilizing On-Premises tools
Contribute to our teams mission of enabling and supporting ZEISS to become more data-driven design and create valuable data products and transform ideas into impactful solutions
You will closely collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to serve as a catalyst for the development of sustainable data products and promote a data-driven culture
Drive the strategic and technical design of cloud-based solutions utilizing both cloud and On-Premises tools
Enhance the architecture of the Enterprise Analytics Platform including Microsoft Fabric
Ensure seamless integration across the system landscape empowering product teams to operate autonomously
Develop concepts for data platforms data domains and analytical data products
Drive strategic initiatives by planning and managing the architecture overseeing implementation and ensuring smooth technical operations across various integration scenarios
Guide Data Engineers and small product teams in creating impactful solutions that align with business goals
Drive and develop Communities of Practices coordinate technical councils and initiatives to foster a culture of innovation
Your profile
An excellent university degree preferably in computer science natural sciences or engineering paired with a passion for data and the potential behind this
At least 7 years of professional experience in a similar position (E.g. Senior Data Engineer)
Professional experience in technical project management and requirement engineering
Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions on platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud
Strong experience in developing and deploying ETL/ELT data flows.
Distinguished capabilities in developing and deploying ETL/ELT data flows.
Experience with containerization technologies particularly Docker.
Expertise in understanding business operations to ensure cost-efficient execution of cloud solutions.
Know-how in scaling up and managing technical communities with a passion for exploring new technologies.
Strong communication skills in English and German capable of engaging effectively with developers stakeholders and management.
