Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent guest service.
- Be familiar with all lodges activities trails and surrounding areas.
- Handle horses confidently and competently.
- Feed water and care for horses.
- Maintain equipment and ensure its in working condition.
- Saddle/unsaddle horses and assist guests with mounting/dismounting.
- Keep the yard grassy areas and tack room clean.
- Be willing to become CPR and first aid certified.
- Prioritize guest safety.
- Perform other duties as needed possibly in other departments.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; 13 months of related experience/training or equivalent.
- Reasoning Ability: Able to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to grasp write stand walk and perform repetitive motions.
- Continuous communication with guests and staff.
- Visual acuity for near vision and depth perception.
- Use of hands arms climbing balancing kneeling crouching or crawling.
- Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
