Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily cleaning and laundry operations ensuring compliance with established schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor and support a team of 20 staff members conducting rounds to observe performance and ensure efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and ensure safe handling of chemicals per OSHA and facility protocols.
- Coordinate special projects (e.g. windows walls large-area cleanings) and ensure proper linen handling and availability.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs and address housekeeping or laundry concerns.
- Assist with onboarding training and evaluating team members.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts and participate in survey readiness.
- Serve as acting department lead in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional housekeeping/laundry including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of infection control OSHA safety protocols and long-term care regulations.
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
