  • St. Joseph Catholic School in Vancouver WA is seeking a full-time Math Learning Resource Support Teacher to join our learning support team beginning in the 202526 school year. At St. Joseph we are committed to nurturing the whole child through faith service and academic excellence.

    Main Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with the Learning Resource Team and classroom teachers in grades 18 to assess and identify students who may benefit from additional math support based on benchmark assessments and classroom performance (beginning middle and end of year).

    Assist the Learning Resource Coordinator in organizing and inputting math assessment data into the schools data system.

    Analyze and compare student performance data with classroom observations and teacher input to identify students needing support.

    Proactively communicate with classroom teachers to finalize support lists and coordinate small group schedules.

    Reach out to families to notify them of support services and collect necessary permission forms.

    Maintain ongoing communication with families regarding student progress or concerns as needed.

    Keep accurate and up-to-date student records including assessments teacher notes student work samples and progress monitoring tools.

    Provide small-group math intervention for students in grades 18 focusing on foundational skills number sense computation and problem-solving.

    Use data-informed practices and evidence-based math intervention resources to target areas of need.

    Coordinate with homeroom and math teachers to align interventions with classroom instruction.

    Modify or scaffold classroom materials as needed to support individual student learning goals.

    Provide push-in or pull-out support in math classes (grades 48) depending on student needs and teacher requests.

    Support students who need alternative formats for assignments or assessments (e.g. calculator access manipulatives read-alouds or tech-based supports).

    Collaborate with the Learning Resource Team during weekly team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust support as needed.

    Attend relevant parent-teacher conferences especially when additional academic support is a key topic.

    Participate in recess/lunch duty as assigned by school administration.

    Assist with academic screenings for prospective or incoming students as needed.

    Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the schools mission and learning goals.

    Qualifications:
    Valid Washington State Teaching Credential

    Strong background in mathematics instruction intervention or special education preferred

    Knowledge of current math teaching strategies and progress monitoring tools

    Excellent communication collaboration and data management skills

    Must meet all Archdiocesan Safe Environment Standards

    Compensation and Benefits:
    Salary range: $45000$65000 annually Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
