Job Description
As a member of a team providing services to EUMETSAT you will have the following responsibility:
- Maintain cloud processing systems and related tools and data-streams on Copernicus project.
- Maintenance of the essential s/w documentation to keep it aligned with the code;
- Software development and support leading to:
- correction of anomalies;
- implementation of evolutions;
- increase of the performance;
- delivery of the associated software patches or releases;
- support to deployment and validation of the corrected/updated IPFs in the EUMETSAT
- operational ground segments;
Qualifications :
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Information Systems or an equivalent discipline;
- Experience in software development with C/C;
- Experience with database management and operations;
- Ability to handle data downloads from operational systems;
- Experience with Grafana for monitoring and visualization;
- Proficiency in using Docker;
- Experience with scripting:
- Python programming and linux systems;
Advantage will be the following skills:
- Experience with Earth observation data and operational data streams;
- Experience in development of operational software;
- Experience in scientific analysis;
- Experience in software optimisation;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
