The geologist role plays a key role in maximising the resource at Dawson Mine within the Technical Services team. This is your opportunity to join a team of passionate and supportive industry leading experts where you can really drive your future career.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent the Geologist provides short to medium term geological advice on how to optimise the value of all existing and proposed production areas. Key focus is identification of geological hazards mapping and data validation to generate fit for purpose short term models for mine and drill and blast planning and daily operational support to ensure the minimisation of coal loss and contamination and reconciliation to assist in continuous improvement.
Effective communication and collaboration with short-term planning exploration survey and operational teams is a key to the role and high level of strategic thinking planning and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in your success.
