Job Description
ALTEN Ltd is a leading engineering consultancy providing high-end engineering services to world-renowned clients across Aerospace Automotive Defence and Energy sectors. We are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer to support a high-profile aerospace customer on a critical test automation and integration project.
This project involves the design development and testing of control systems for next-generation aerospace platforms. You will be contributing to the development and validation of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems to ensure the software and hardware components function safely and reliably under simulated real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct software testing at multiple levels: Unit testing Software- software integration testing Hardware - software integration testing
- Design and build test rigs with custom DAQ systems and wiring layouts
- Develop automated test procedures for embedded aerospace software
- Perform HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-loop) simulations
- Integrate test rigs using industry-standard platforms (Speedgoat NI dSPACE or Vector)
Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Must have a degree in Electrical Software Mechatronics Systems Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink (Simulink preferred) or LabVIEW for test development and automation
- Experience with test platforms such as Speedgoat (preferred) NI dSPACE or Vector
- Strong hands-on experience with HIL test rig development hardware/software integration and test automation frameworks
