Office of Governmental Administrative and Public Affairs - Human Resources

Job Focus Area

The Human Resources department for the Louisiana Department of Education is dedicated to providing compensation and staffing support to the program offices we serve. We are a energetic fast-paced office serving as the point of contact for hiring needs within our agency during your hiring process. We are looking for a Human Resources professional to join our great team that is detail-oriented driven focused and has the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with their assigned program offices and candidates to fulfill the full recruitment lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications

Four years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus one year of human resources experience; OR

A bachelors degree plus one year of human resources experience; OR

An advanced degree in human resources business administration public administration industrial and organizational psychology organizational behavior or a Juris Doctorate.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

As a Human Resources professional with LDOE you will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to:


Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational Promotional or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office.Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment if selected.

Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group. As part of a Career Progression Group vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Human Resources Analyst B C or Specialist depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.

Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Human Resources Analyst C (AS-615)

Hourly: $20.65 $40.53

Monthly: $3579 $7025

Monthly: $4099 $8044

Annually: $49192 $96533
