Job Description
Status: Temporary Full Time (3 Years)
Salary range: $30757.18 $33832.90 per annum for the first year depending on level of education
Description
Opportunity: The Citys Developed Reserves team is looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to take up the role of Apprentice Horticulturist.
Reporting to the Leading Hand this role will see you responsible for performing various horticultural duties across the Citys gardens parks and reserves while studying for a horticultural qualification.
Skills And Experiences
About You: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual labour in a variety of outdoor conditions
- A genuine interest in horticulture and a desire to build a long-term career in the field.
- The ability to work effectively within a small team and communicate respectfully with colleagues and members of the public.
- Basic oral written and numeracy skills suitable for a training and work environment.
- A commitment to completing all study and training components of the apprenticeship.
Important: To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must not already hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Horticulture.
