Litigation researcher ParalegalWhat does a successful Litigation Researcher Paralegal do
This role is responsible for conducting internal research in response to third-party requests such as subpoenas primarily directed at merchant customers. The role includes preparing documents updating matter management databases recording processing and prioritizing various requests. You will work directly with in-house counsel and paralegals to professionally administer these requests effectively supporting our legal intake team as a backup resource.
What you will do:
- Prepare research for third-party requests including handling subpoenas demands information requests data entry and file management.
- Interact with paralegal teammates and other teams to confirm and respond to status inquiries and escalations.
- Provide backup support for the Legal Intake Inbox to assist in the routing of critical requests including service of process.
- Integrate technical resources and utilize system tools to assist team members with maintaining information and managing legal entities.
- Use and maintain electronic case management tools and other databases.
- Additional responsibilities may include program and file management special projects analyses research and reports. Build and maintain electronic shared file rooms or other databases.
What you will need to have:
- Experience in legal research tools and databases.
- Experience in document preparation and matter management.
- Experience in managing third-party response including subpoenas and information requests.
- 4 years of experience in litigation support roles.
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in paralegal roles within a corporate or law firm setting.
- Experience with electronic case management tools.
- Experience in providing backup support for legal intake.
- Experience in program and file management.
- Paralegal certification or related field.
Important information about this role:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday in Milwaukee WI. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
- This is a full-time direct-hire position and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
