We are hiring individuals with a passion for counseling to service our growing EAP Network of clients. This completely remote position will allow you to operate from the comfort of your own home while still providing your community with the mental health support that they need. Full-time and Part-time options are available!

How Will You Make a Difference

The Mental Health Counselor provides EAP and Gambling assessments short-term counseling crisis intervention and case management services to clients over the telephone.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments and short-term counseling services using a brief solution focused model EAP Gambling Special Helplines (FRAP) mandatories.
• Provide counseling within a 50-minute session with documentation taking place during the balance of the counseling hour.
• Attend continuous learning sessions training and case consultations.
• Provide telephone consultations related to crisis or assessed urgent situations when required.
• Comfortable navigating internal operating systems retrieving organizational information and communicating with clients.
• Remain informed on relevant regulatory and legislative developments
• Meet sessional containment and other targets as defined by the Clinical Manager.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Social Work Clinical Psychology Counseling/Education or related field
• Examples of appropriate licenses include but are not limited to LCPC LCSW LMHC LPC and LMFT
• Must be located in California & clinically licensed; anyone without a license will not be considered.
• Minimum of two years post-Masters clinical experience.
• Must have some flexibility to take on afternoon and/or weekend shifts

Knowledge/Skills:

• Excellent communication problem solving collaboration cultural competency time management and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Windows NT environment basic typing skills).
• Strict adherence to the ethical principles governing confidentiality/privacy legislation.
