Join our Tier 2 CAS Network Operations Center (NOC) team where youll be at the heart of ensuring high availability and world-class performance for critical communications systems across the Connected Aviation portfolio at Collins Aerospace. Monitor network management systems and collaborate with telecom providers to drive timely service restoration efforts.
Accurately log and track incident details in the incident management tool ensuring clear up-to-date documentation.
Diagnose and resolve systems and network issuesincluding IP networks messaging systems and air-to-ground data communications equipmentby applying technical expertise.
Resolve basic technical queries independently; support escalation of moderate-to-complex issues in collaboration with senior team members.
Interpret and follow established network operations processes using sound judgment to reduce downtime and service disruptions.
Contribute to the design configuration and deployment of network solutions while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation.
Participate in a 24x7x365 operations schedule including some weekends and holidays.
You will be trained across three key NOC functionsTransport DataLink and Applicationswithin 46 months gaining a broad skill set across the CAS ecosystem.
You will gain hands-on experience monitoring:
Transport: ARINC Global Network components including routers switches firewalls and circuits from core to edge.
DataLink: Ground station radios and central systems that power air-to-ground communications.
Applications: Messaging infrastructure responsible for processing millions of mission-critical messages daily.
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract security requirements.
Current or in progress: CCNA or Security certification
Prior experience in a customer service-oriented technical support environment.
Prior experience with TCP/IP networking protocols computer hardware/software interconnection and interface standards.
Experience troubleshooting Cisco equipment and working knowledge of routing protocols such as HSRP and BGP.
Proficiency in multitasking including prioritizing multiple incidents and collaborating across teams.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex system behavior.
