Job Description
- Develops and compares alternative design solutions with defined evaluation criteria
- Prepares technical specifications in collaboration with responsible engineers
- Coordinates 3D modeling and drafting tasks with design drafters
- Performs tolerance and basic engineering calculations using standard tools
- Manages part and BOM creation prepares ECR and MOS and reviews ISIRs
- Ensures compliance with internal and external design standards and guidelines
- Participates in technical risk management (e.g. S/D-FMEA) and aligns with focus matrix topics
- Contributes to technical discussions with preventive and corrective design actions
- Prepares design documentation including key calculations and definition of special characteristics
- Engages in technical discussions with suppliers considering cost and quality targets
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and an independent proactive personality.
- Proven experience in the design and development of parts and assemblies for series production of consumer products.
- Solid knowledge of modern manufacturing methods (plastics metals seals).
- Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA FTA DRBFM and 8D.
- Creative analytical and result-oriented team player.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Experience with tools and systems such as MS Office SAP Teamcenter and UG NX.
