Loma Linda University Childrens Hospital is seeking a physician to join the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU).
Our childrens hospital serves a geographical area of 1.2 million children in Southern California. The Pediatric Critical Care service includes a 25- bed medical/surgical PICU and a 14-bed pediatric cardiac/solid organ transplant intensive care unit and a separate 19-bed step-down unit. The PICU has approximately 1800 admissions per year. Our services include an active pediatric critical care transport team performing about 800 transports annually of which 80% come to the intensive care units.
Loma Linda University Childrens Hospital pioneered pediatric heart transplantation in 1984 under in innovative leadership of Dr. Leonard Bailey. We have remained a worldwide leader in pediatric cardiac care for more than 40 years. Our Pediatric Heart Care services include heart failure and transplantation interventional cardiology non-invasive cardiology and mechanical circulatory support performing 200-250 pump cases a year. As a full service CTICU we have membership in United Network for Organ Sharing Pediatric Heart Transplant Society and Pediatric Advanced Heart Failure Program. The CTICU is a member of the clinical database in congenital and pediatric cardiac care Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium (PC4).
The critical care division is a multi-disciplinary team including physicians nurses nurse practitioners pharmacists child life specialists respiratory therapists physical therapists chaplains and other clinicians collaborating to best meet the medical psycho-social and spiritual needs of the hospitalized child.
Primary responsibility will be providing direct patient care to pediatric cardiac patients in the CTICU with collaboration of the cardiac thoracic surgeons cardiologists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Compensation & Benefits
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $205000 - $253000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
