Functions:

The Hospice RN Asisstant Director of Nursing (ADON) role is perfect for an experienced hospice nurse who loves people and is committed to providing exceptional care with a touch of hospitality. The ideal candidate will be adept at administrative tasks and comfortable using the Home Care Homebase EMR system.

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in the daily operations of the hospice program.
  • Perform administrative tasks including documentation reporting and compliance monitoring using the Home Care Homebase EMR system.
  • Promotes the philosophy and administrative policies of the Hospice in an effort to ensure quality of patient care.
  • Supervises and provides direction to subordinates in an effort to ensure quality compliance with the Plan of Care assessment and reassessment of patients needs and continuity of services by appropriate health care personnel.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure high-quality care is delivered to patients by adhering to all policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in the recruitment training and evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Address and resolve any patient or staff concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Stay current with the latest hospice care practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes and educates regarding the concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating and performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse .
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with 1 years in a leadership role in hospice or palliative care.
  • Strong understanding of hospice regulations and standards.
  • Home Care Home Base experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Reliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance.
