The Education Planner position at Jersey College is a crucial role that provides operational and administrative support to the academic department. This role ensures smooth and efficient educational activities helps achieve academic goals and supports student success.

Monday - Thursday - 12 PM - 9 PM and Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Educational Activities:

  • Oversee and assist with the daily operations of academic activities.
  • Track student attendance and academic progress by collecting faculty grades.
  • Organize and schedule meetings for students faculty and administration within the Education Department.
  • Maintain and update essential academic files including student records and curriculum details.

2. Oversee Student Services:

  • Supervise student orientation and graduation ceremonies.
  • Monitor student registration attendance grades and drop-out reports.
  • Follow up with students financial aid admissions and other key departments to ensure student progress.
  • Provide leadership and visible management in academic areas interacting with students and fostering a supportive campus environment.

The Education Planner plays a significant role in ensuring that Jersey Colleges academic operations run smoothly while also promoting student retention satisfaction and success.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

Experience:2-3 years of experience in managing educational or business operations demonstrating the ability to oversee multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Student Information Management:Ability to maintain and accurately report on student records ensuring smooth tracking of student progress and achievement of academic goals.

Student/Customer Service Skills:Strong focus on student support with exceptional customer service skills including active listening and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Interpersonal Skills:An outgoing and approachable style with a genuine passion for supporting students academic success and professional growth.

Communication and Presentation Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences including students faculty and administration.
