As the Quality & Packout Supervisor you will lead the Packout Quality Control (QC) and Out-of-Box Audit (OBA) teams to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements. Youll play a critical role in upholding quality assurance through training process audits and employee developmentensuring exceptional customer satisfaction efficient operations and adherence to industry standards.
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit hire and retain qualified QC Packout and OBA personnel.
Develop and implement training programs based on industry and customer-specific requirements.
Provide consistent coaching mentorship and performance evaluations.
Foster a culture of accountability recognition and continuous improvement.
Operational Oversight
Create effective shift schedules for QC Packout and OBA operations.
Monitor departmental output and enforce adherence to customer specifications.
Backfill operator inspector or auditor roles as needed to support the team.
Run and analyze quality reports (e.g. DPM OMI) to identify process gaps.
Participate in On-Time Delivery (OTD) meetings and drive corrective actions.
Audit & Compliance
Conduct and coordinate periodic process audits and 5S inspections.
Ensure that OBA auditors serve as the customers eyes with accurate inspection methods.
Maintain compliance with IPC-A-610 J-STD-001 and other relevant standards.
Address inspection-related questions troubleshoot problems and ensure high-quality output.
Communication & Collaboration
Facilitate open communication across departments and teams.
Organize and present ideas clearly and professionally.
Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of individuals and teams.
Education:
Bachelors degree required.
Experience:
56 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or quality operations.
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and inspire.
Deep understanding of inspection techniques and quality processes.
Proficient in analyzing quality metrics and applying corrective action plans.
Skilled in Microsoft Office tools and relevant quality systems.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Certified or trained in IPC-A-610 J-STD-001 or other industry standards.
Experience in electronics manufacturing or related quality environments.
