Job Description
In this role you will work in a fast-paced environment supporting Boschs growing HVAC solutions business in the Energy and Building Technology business sector in North America. The position will require the ability to effectively lead a team manage numerous diverse projects at the same time and involve business consulting contract drafting and negotiation. The candidate must be a self-starter and have an ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization and collaboratively with our global colleagues. Key job responsibilities will include:
- Lead manage and develop the legal team responsible for supporting Boschs HVAC solutions business in North America
- Advise and consult with business engineering sales and legal teams regarding a variety of legal and commercial issues
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry-specific regulations to provide insight into legal issues that arise from the business
- Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters including product compliance competition/antitrust and other relevant regulations
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts including those relating to sales distribution procurement and non-disclosure agreements in alignment with applicable laws and internal Bosch policies and directives
- Work with legal and business teams to ensure compliance with legal obligations
- Deliver internal training on legal matters
- Some travel both domestic and international may be required as needed
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school
- Member of Texas bar in good standing or eligible to practice law in Texas as in-house counsel
- 8 years of experience as a practicing commercial/transactional attorney
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years as an in-house counsel in a corporate environment
- Experience in the HVAC industry
- Experience managing litigation and/or M&A transactions
- Experience collaborating with international teams
