What can you expect
As the Visual Information (VI) Technician you will work on-site in Anchorage and have personal initiative as well as critical thinking skills which are essential to complete job duties with minimal guidance. Also you must be able to set priorities take ownership of projects work efficiently and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure environment.
How will you do it
Visual Information (VI) Support (85%-90%)
- Process official military personnel file photographs and electronically submit images of military personnel files required by AR 64030 to include: Department of the Army (DA)-Photos International Standards Organization (ISO)-Prep Photos Passports Photos Command Photos Historical Event Photos Hero Photos Best Warrior Photos Command Board Photos for Commissioners and Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) employees and Official portraits for officer personnel O6 and above or the civilian equivalent.
- Provide real time Audio Video (AV) support for live events including military ceremonies change of command ceremonies memorial services holiday events and town-hall events.
- Oversee and coordinate live streaming web conferences and the use of web cameras in support of various business meetings and live training events.
- Convert video camera signals for use as web cameras in business conferencing applications.
- Provide/prepare videotaping slide production and development of multimedia presentations ensuring proper equipment is on hand for the desired presentation and quality of presentation by reviewing prior to coordination with requestor.
- Identify adverse surroundings and condition of facilities to devise methods or adapt techniques to overcome deficiencies to the maximum extent possible.
- Prepare graphic artwork; fabricate VI aids models and displays; operate VI libraries; and provide presentation services.
- Create digital logos and graphics both still and animated.
- Record distribute and/or video or audio broadcast electronically.
- Troubleshoot and correct software problems to include resolving conflicts between applications hardware and/or device conflicts and operating system faults.
- Detect report and remediate computer viruses restore and repair damaged data files and update hardware and software architecture databases to reflect installations turn-ins and changes in reportable software and hardware
Help Desk Support (10%-15%)
- Assist customers with the resolution of problems encountered; efficiently identifying the root cause and resolving the problem.
- Determine impact on the customer and manage customer expectations to resolution.
- Automate repetitive tasks such as software imaging and software installation wherever possible.
- Use remote control capabilities to conduct troubleshooting software installation and other corrective actions to minimize touch labor and customer interactions.
- Provide hands-on assistance with software installations hardware configurations and communication networking equipment to support daily operations and major fielding activities.
- Conduct assessments to verify the adequacy of software installation practices and ensure operating environments are compliant with desktop and network security standards.
- Track and execute warranty activities to resolution.
- Install and configure workstations operating systems and application software.
- Configure a wide variety of devices with diverse interfaces and device drivers in multiple operating system environments on a wide variety of hardware platforms.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in IT principles concepts and methods necessary to perform web development functions graphic design techniques; internet systems and services and technologies in support of the Internet and Intranet web services.
- Highly skilled in the use of AV recording and teleconference equipment and professional AV software products.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to use scientific rules and methods to solve problems and logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
Who is Brice Engineering looking for
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Information Technology or similar or equivalent combination of experience and certifications.
- 5 or more years proven experience working with Visual Information Services including Adobe Creative suite products including familiarity with MS Teams options for Livestream meetings
- 5 or more years proven experience with Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft products
- Valid state drivers license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Engineerings Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass a drug driving and background screenings.
