YOUR MISSION
At Glovo we are constantly looking for passionate and experienced engineers to join our IT Operations team in Barcelona. IT Ops is in charge of the worldwide corporate and infrastructure services and making sure that Glovo employee can perform their daily job at the highest velocity as possible.
We are seeking a System Engineer to join the IT Operations team and help us scale up and automate our services across 23 countries. If you have a taste for challenges cloud services and you love automation this would be the right place for you.
THE JOURNEY
Design and implement systems and services for the IT Operations Team
- Network monitoring/Log platform with AWS and open source software
- Worldwide Access control for our facilities
- Serverless and Kubernetes infrastructure for our Automation team
Automate processes and provisioning across several cloud platforms and services
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS Azure) through Infrastructure as code principal
Design and deploy service infrastructure for our different internal client
Own your deliverables from start to finish
Deliver high-quality solutions
Participate in high-level technical decisions
Help structure the IT operations team
Offer level 3 support
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- A degree in Computer Science/System engineering or relevant experience
- At least 2 years of experience in the field
- Ability to design elegant solutions for technically challenging problems
- Ability to lead a project
- Strong programming skill in scripting (bash PowerShell or python)
- Experience with
- Infrastructure as code (Ansible Terraform Cloud Formation)
- Directory Services (i.e.: LDAP Active Directory)
- IAM problematic
- Linux or Windows server administration
- Intermediate Knowledge in Networking
- TCP/IP
- OSI model
- Intermediate knowledge of most widely used network protocols (e.g. HTTP FTP..)
- Experience with one of those cloud platforms
- AWS or Azure
- Confident in Business English
