What Youll Do:
As the Production Manager you will plan schedule lead and manage the overall production to meet the ever-increasing quality delivery order quantity and time expectations of the customers and business.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Provides leadership and direction for the day-to-day operation to ensure on-time defect free and complete orders to our customers.
- Partners with management to review and enhance performance initiatives and KPIs to enhance output ordering processes quality standards delivery and cost reductions year over year.
- Actively coaches develops and counsels employees so that they are continually growing in their skillsets and able to be accountable for their growing job functions.
- Review sales orders along with input from Sales and the customers to create/modify production schedules that will ensure on-time complete and defect free orders
- Collaborates with Purchasing proactively to ensure material will meet ever-changing production schedules.
- Monitors cycle counts and inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory of production supplies.
- Manages people resources PTO and leave usage/schedules along with temporary needs to right size the organization to the order volume and budgets.
- Assists on the production line as needed to support the team and the business goals.
- Assists with operating and programing simple wire processing equipment to meet output deadlines.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Associates degree in Operations Manufacturing Quality or related field preferred; will con- sider a High School Diploma or GED with proven operational leadership and process-enhancement skills.
- Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in Production leadership/management within a small assembly manufacturing environment with 1 years of experience in creating production schedules.
- Certifications: ISO/Quality System background
- Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
- Functional Skills: Strong planning organizational and executing skills are in this role; technical aptitude with lean thinking/process improvement skillsets are also needed to problem-solve and enhance the operations; excellent forward-thinking prioritization analytical and detail-oriented skills are also to manage multiple data points.
- Technical Aptitude/PC/Other: Good PC skills ; experience with ERP systems would be a plus but will train the right person.
- Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills to work well with vendors and team members
- Leadership/Behaviors: Collaborative mentoring hands on leadership style. Has a roll up your sleeves and get the job done attitude with strong influencing skills to lead others. Laid back personality with a sense of humor who is also creative/innovative in nature to make things happen.

Other Important Information:
Position Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

Reports To: President
Core Hours: 6:00 am - 3:30 pm are the core hours; will work 40 - 50 hours in this time frame.
Typical Work Week: M-F; with some Saturdays & OT when applicable
Direct Reports: Approximately 15 - 20 Production employees
Work Conditions: Office and Production/Warehouse areas; Lifting up to 50 lbs sporadically.
Travel: Limited to visit customers and vendors as needed
