Required Education: High School Diploma GED or Trade School Certification AND;

  • 24 months experience as a Brush Painter or closely related experience.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of principles and theory in the safe operation of all job related equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of mixing paints varnishes and other additives
  • Ability to read understand and implement all written procedures specifications and blueprints
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Uses tools or equipment with expertise
  • Perform simple recordkeeping requiring logging or filing

Certifications:

  • Valid Oklahoma Drivers License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date

Working Conditions:

  • Physical: Holding heavy and repeated bending stooping and with arms extended above lifting and carrying loads in excess of 50 lbs. up or down stairs. Cleaning work wrist and arm to distinguish colors.
  • Environmental:Perform duties using scaffolds and exposure to odors and exposure to safety be designated as an essential position during emergency be required to remain on campus overnight during weather or other emergencies.
