The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Payloads Design Engineers (Experienced or Senior) to support the Interiors Team part of the Payloads Organization based in Everett WA.
As a Payloads Design Engineer you will work across the product lifecyclesupporting customer configuration development engaging with suppliers validating and verifying design requirements integrating business needs and supporting the product through production and certification processes. You will collaborate closely with project engineering production engineering program and product teams management and technical staff to define and implement effective engineering solutions. By leveraging the expertise and resources of the interiors organization you will help certify and deliver industry-leading interiors products.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior Level Payloads Design Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops integrates and documents interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Manages supplier performance test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Develops maintains and modifies interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups production operations suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Everett WA).
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.
5 years of experience in engineering including design integration and/or certification.
Experience in leading cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
Experience in aerospace interiors materials and properties design criteria and release processes.
5 years of experience in program or project management leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity (including: development and execution of schedule milestones financial assessments resource assessments risk and/or issues management etc.)
Direct engagement working experience with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines.
5 years of experience in using CATIA V5 or ENOVIA.
Experience in validating/demonstrating compliance to regulatory requirements.
Experience working with regulators.
Design for manufacturing experience.
